Anyone who calls Tytania a “Space Opera” obviously hates the show. Nobody wants to watch a space opera. Opera is about fat women cosplaying as vikings, which contributes nothing to society, unlike pornography. Pornography relieves people’s sexual tension so that in real life they can act without thinking sex-first. This enables them to look past people’s appearances to see them for what they truly are: idiots.
Pornography > Opera
Adding “Space” to both terms preserves the inequality:
Space Pornography > Space Opera
“Space” acts like a positive constant. It won’t necessarily make pornography better, but it certainly can’t make pornography worse than opera. Some terms would, such as “Fat Viking Lady.” The term “Fat Viking Lady” acts as a negative constant, requiring us to flip the sign of the inequality.
Fat Viking Lady Pornography < Fat Viking Lady Opera
Therefore, Tytania is Space Pornography, not Space Opera. However, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. My biggest complaint is that there’s too much moé.

All the character designs in Tytania are moéified with respect to their Legend of the Galactic Heroes counterparts. I praised LotGH for not having any male characters with hair drooping over their eyes (how the hell are you supposed to fight when you can’t see?). Tytania screwed it up all over the place, starting with the main character.

This guy occasionally speaks in a mildly pedophilic tone because he has the same voice actor as Sergay Wáng. I’ve been able to overlook it because he’s a lazy badass. You can too. Watch Tytania.
Oh, and don’t come bitching to me about how all the politics in the show is complicated:
Politics = REAL motivation. There’s a concrete explanation for every action taken. If you can handle anime with metaphors, psychoanalysis, and all that other speculative bullshit, you can handle politics.

Phew, it sure is fortunate that our politics is not pornographic.
Just imagine the gruesome republican duet…Yuck.

I’ve little idea what opera’s about, though I suspect it’s more than fat ladies cosplaying as Vikings (maybe it’s a place for government to take place), but it’s obviously much more important than pr0n: opera’s a bastion of civilisation, pr0n’s just there for people to enjoy themselves.

Tytania’s new tagline: In space, no one can hear you moan.
Your anime posts aren’t really about anime at all and always go totally off tangent. Not like I mind or anything.

That’s what I say to every girl who scowls at me reading Playboy. I was merely trying to cleanse my mind of impure thoughts so that I can plunge myself into the more life-penetrating articles in the back of the magazine.

So hot dickings > an epic political struggle in space?
I like the way that ya think.
Also, I moved, same as before, just now it’s finality.dasaku.net. Thanks.

Pedo you say? Fan Hyulic is now my hero. Also, it’s not porn if there’s no penetration. I think?

“Your anime posts aren’t really about anime at all and always go totally off tangent. Not like I mind or anything.”
I think the tangents are what give blogs their whole spirit & uniqueness…
“I was merely trying to cleanse my mind of impure thoughts so that I can plunge myself into the more life-penetrating articles in the back of the magazine.”
Like what the celebs are up to these days? Cool video games? Maybe i’ll be interested in the video games section… but the rest is filler imo.
“In space, no one can hear you moan.”
I don’t think you can breathe in space, haha.
When I opened up with article, my mom was right next to me, and what I got was a big picture of a hot anime girl with her booty sticking right in my face so… yeah XD good times.

@Coaxen: Don’t tell me what to do.
@IKnight: To each his own. Get thee to a conservatory. I’ll get me to pornography.
@Yamcha: Real anime bloggers don’t blog about anime.
@bakaneko: Stop reading Playboy in front of your mom.
@C.I.: True, but not what I meant to say: Hot dickings in space > Fat viking ladies in space.
@Shin: Maybe in Singapore.
@Gnarfard: The link said Pornography, what did you expect?

I’d rather take definitive enjoyment over an arbitrary bastion of civilization, thank you very much. It’s all subjective anyways.

Politics is not complicated, it’s just fucking boring.

What, sex instead of hot political debates, steamy personal insults and tirades, or be-suited men parading their wares in front of an adoring public? Lies!

Huh. I always thought pornography was also there to shake the very foundations of philosophy of anyone who is still naïve enough to believe that there was at least some deep darkness of sexuality that hadn’t been plunged yet.
Doesn’t sound strictly enjoyable to me.
(About the actual show for a change: Am I the only one who’s slightly distracted by their choice of narrator? I admit her use is downright spartan compared to LoGH, but every time she pipes in, I can’t help but imagine her as one of the Mazone from Harlock.)

I think the word Viking in “Fat Viking Lady” acts more like a positive constant, making even worse Fat Lady but making even cooler Vinland Saga.

@lolikitsune: Well, you certainly don’t blog about anime…
@TheBigN: Porn is a bastion of civilization. Opera is a bastion of civilisation. Guess who won the war.
@digitalboy: So you thought TTGL was boring. Those are your own words.
@Valmanway: Why not the best of both worlds?
@Michael: Get thee to a fraternity.
@LJ: It’s not about personal enjoyment; it’s about benefit to society. Pornography benefits society by shaking the very foundations of philosophy. Opera is dead. Nobody can argue otherwise. As for the narrator, they should’ve cast the same guy who sings the opening song.
@Hyunk: A review by Japanator in 2007 again compared Vinland Saga to Berserk, this time in narrative style, as well as mentioning similarities to Norihiro Yagi’s monthly shōnen title Claymore. I will read this manga and redefine my terms accordingly.

Well I dunno, Reinhard had droopy hair at least once he grew it long, although it wasn’t the typical anime droppy hair. One thing I AM glad is that they replaced women with really bad mullets with some decently cute girls in Tytania.

@A Day Without Me: The last pic reminds me of Resort Boin.
@Epi: The women had mullets because they were basically male personalities in women’s bodies. One of my few complaints about LotGH is that the female characters didn’t act believably female.
