October 2020: Time Loop

For my annual celebration of The END Day, I talked about dropping the Higurashi manga. To make a long story short, the Higurashi manga couldn’t make a long story short. Posts forthcoming on both the new anime and the old anime.

Now that KanoKari Season 1 is finally over, I gave it a typical anime review (in contrast to my episodic Red Pill reviews). KanoKari started out promising and had a good final episode. Unfortunately, it turned into a typical harem anime somewhere in the middle. Somehow I doubt Season 2 is going to fix that.

I celebrated my 35th birthday with a trip around the northern half of Kyushu and filmed a short video from Nagasaki, except this time, I did the voice-over at home! This marks the beginning of a new phase in my video creation: actually editing videos instead of uploading them straight from my cell phone. In other words, I’m slowly building back up to what I was doing 11 years ago.

Trump and Biden have now both uttered the same bullshit line we hear every four years: “THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION IN OUR LIFETIMES.” It’s not. Neither was the one four years ago. Not even close. But if I had to pick between Trump and Biden, I’d vote for

When enough trustworthy people independently recommend the same thing, I’ll eventually check it out. It’s worked for anime, movies, books, and last year even independent YouTube journalist Tim Pool. Overall I like the guy, but his videos tend to be x-3 minutes longer than they need to be.

In my third trip to the movie theaters in the short time since they opened back up, I watched Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen. The Japanese TV ads for this movie had me worried the whole thing would be dreams and flashbacks. Thankfully, that was only half of the movie.

Update: Oh yeah, speaking of time loops, I finally finished Muv-Luv Alternative. Posts forthcoming.
